This is a proper old-school steak house joint. We have been going to Majors Steak House for many years. They always start you off with a bowl of pickles, pickled green tomatoes, and sauerkraut. For appetizers, we had a shrimp cocktail, which was perfectly cooked, and wedge salad with the house vinaigrette. Both delicious! For the entree, I had the Majors Steak, and my wife had a cheeseburger. Both had a beautiful char and tasted great! For dessert Mississippi mud pie and rice pudding. Both hit the spot! Sorry, I don't have pictures of it all. We were hungry. Great place, reasonable prices!
The atmosphere is fine its just a bit antiquated but it fits expected steakhouse decor and esthetic. The food was very good 👍 The lump crab meat cocktail and the lobster cocktail appetizers were very good. The red Sangria was surprisingly very good. The prime rib was excellent and the sides of mashed potatoes and creamed spinach were very small portions but good. The desserts were very good. Rice Pudding was ok not the best but decent. The Key lime pie was good just odd to see as a menu choice in winter. The apple pie was very good. The service was good. Our waitress was nice just not completely attentive and a bit forgetful... but fine. I would go back.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Great prices too. I took my boyfriend there to celebrate his birthday and we ordered Buffalo wings (highly recommend) and both had the ribeye steak. I had the 12 oz and he had the 24 oz. I think the 24 oz was tastier since it was thicker and juicier. Then I asked the waiter to bring out a slice of cheesecake and put a candle on it with no singing (my boyfriend doesn't like public attention). And it was delicious as well!
Our waiter, Vinnie was a young guy who was very attentive with great timing on everything. I told the manager that Vinnie was great and he said that Vinnie's new and the staff have been trained hard for the job. It shows!
Have been here a couple of times, but as a family of Bryant & Cooper, food is consistently of high quality. Fresh seafood towers, excellent steaks, sides, with a good portion of desserts will definitely want you coming back again. Also love the antique wood style decor with attentive and lovely service.
I have not been here since 1994. Back then the food was to die for. Recently my family and I went and we were not happy with the food. The appetizers were delicious but the steaks and prime rib was under seasoned and had a lot of fat around the edges. Staff was great.
Had the Colorado ribeye but didn't taste the cajun seasoning and the steak had a lot of char so only tasted burnt. Also had the pork chops but it was dry and had no seasoning or taste. The mushrooms was creamy but they said there was no cream so why was it like that?
The service and atmosphere is nice but didn't like the food.
Me and my girlfriend went there with her parents which it was a mother 70th birthday w both had steak it was delicious. the appetizers were great. We had a seafood platter. We had fried calamari and some chicken wings. Everything was on the money. it was a great time. Thanks they really did a great job.
Good food snd service. Marinated skirt steak with garlic mashed are always a favorite for me. Top it off with delicious rice pudding and an Irish coffee for an excellent meal.
First time stopping in at Majors on a late Saturday night. Wanted to try more Mom&Pop style restaurants across Long Island. The atmosphere and old school decor was really nice, staff very friendly and welcoming. I believe the manager (was …
Came here for my birthday dinner. We were tucked upstairs on the second floor at the end, which was perfect since we had young children with us. They could walk around and not bother anyone else. I wish the parking lot was a bit bigger and …
